We are therians/otherkin!!!

I am half human, half cat. The best way to visualize this would be to imagine furry art :P. A better term for me might be otherkin, but it doesn't really matter.

This might sound a little crazy at first, but I assure you that therians exist, and while they do in fact live in a human body, their mind is far from human. This is the exact experience of Ruby, who prefers to be non- verbal most of the time and lives for pets and attention and food.

This is very close to my experience as well, but not quite. I do enjoy quite a bit of the human experience, and if given the choice to inhabit a cat body I would feel like I'm missing out on being human. This is not something Ruby feels in the slightest (which is why it's such a rare occurance for her to front :P).

So then what differentiates me from just being a furry then?

Well, while I wouldn't necessarily be ok with permenantly living in a cat's body, I'm equally not ok with living in a human body. For anyone who experiences dysphoria/dysmorphia, this is a very similar experience. I have a phantom tail and phantom ears, and no amount of potential fursuiting can fill that gap fully (although it can help). This is obviously also Ruby's experience, but to a greater extent.

But, with the current level of technology, there's nothing we can do about that (especially considering we share a body not only with each other, but also with the rest of the system). It's the unfortunate truth, but that's how it is. As you can imagine, it kinda sucks :(

BUT! It's not all bad! Especially when you have a partner who's willing to give you head scritches :3
